Top 5 Outdoor Activities for Fall

Fall is a wonderful season. The trees are changing colors, and the sweltering heat of summer has drifted away. It is a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy some time outside. Here are five fun outdoor activities for you to try this fall!

1. Go Apple Picking
Apple picking is a fun way to spend the afternoon. Your little ones will be able to see where apples come from, learn about all of the different types, and they'll have a great time choosing which ones to bring home. Bonus: Your child will be more interested in eating their fruit since they picked it themselves, and you can bake the extras into a delicious apple pie.

2. Have a Bonfire
Invite family and friends over for an evening of fun around the fire. You can tell ghost stories, sing campfire songs, roast hot dogs, and make s'mores. The fire will keep you warm even as the sun goes down. It's a great time for adults to catch up while the kids have a blast with their friends.

3. Visit a Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin patches aren't just a good place for your children to pick out the pumpkins they want to carve into jack-o-lanterns, these patches also offer all sorts of other fun activities like hay rides, corn mazes, face painting, and more! Your whole family is sure to enjoy themselves, and you'll get some great holiday photos.

4. Take a Hike
Nature is so beautiful this time of year. Try to get out and enjoy it by taking a hike as a family. You can teach your children about all of the seasonal changes, and encourage them to collect some pine cones, acorns, and colorful leaves. They can use these to make fun craft projects when they get home.

5. Play Football
The hot summer days may have kept you indoors and the bitter cold of winter will have you under the blankets, but fall is the perfect season to get outside and enjoy some friendly competition. You've been cheering your favorite football team on all season, why not try the game yourself? If you want more teammates you can invite the neighbors over to join in the fun.

Don't let this autumn season pass you by. Have fun making memories with your family, and enjoy celebrating all of the joys of fall.
